What happens when termites are found during the inspection.
We can look further into areas of concern with an invasive termite inspection. This gives us the opportunity to move items, lift carpets and use borescopes to look inside walls etc. in areas of concern. We must gain written consent from the owners to conduct an invasive inspection. We will place our borescope into the wall through a series of 10mm drill holes and can determine the extent of activity or damage. This reduces the guess work, which can possibly show the extent of any damage and possibly show where the termites have gained entry. If we find active termites during the inspection we can arrange a quote to treat the termites. To further protect the house we can offer a quote for a termite barrier.
Types of Treatments
The termite treatment is quite simple as long as we get good access to the active termites. We will either use a chemical foam called termidor dust or termite baiting which is safe for family & pets. All the treatments transfer so the termites will pass it onto one another through feeding, communication and grooming which will eradicate them from the building and possibly eliminate the termite colony.
